One of my newest painting, the Arctic Fox is an absolute beautiful animal with his white fur and golden eyes. 

 

The Arctic Fox has fur on the bottom of his feet to protect him and to keep the cold and ice off the feet while digging. 

 

The lush white coat of the Arctic Fox provides both warmth and camouflage in the cold
Arctic  Winter.

The New "Simply Penguins" 2013 Calendar is now available.  Just as precious as the 2012 Simply Penguins calendar the new 2013 has new art work for the year.  Much care was taken in the creation of this calendar.  Each page has every holiday of the year marked by a sweet penguin. 

Colorful, whimsical, and my creation I guarantee you will fall in love with the Simply Penguins.  Accompanying the calendars are the books; Welcome to the Community of Penguinville, Return to Penguinville and Celebrations in Penguinville.

My goal for this painting was to have a contrast of color between light and dark. Since it is an impressionist painting, you will see the waves coming into shore as a light blue even though the sunset has made the water black. It is a balance in color. Painting is 11 X 14.  Hope you enjoy the colors.

3RD FRIDAY ARTWALK IN FREEPORT

JUNE 15TH

It was such a surprise when Senator Olympia Snowe visited R.D. Allen Freeport Jewelers for the Freeport Artwalk Event.

Needless to say this was an enjoyable night to remember.  She is such a lovely and caring person and is completely dedicated to the businesses in Maine. 

I also was very honored that she purchased two of my "Simply Penguins" books for her grandchildren and also left with one of my new

2013 Maine-ly Puffin Calenders.
